  This place is the absolute holy grail of Zurich food. The place is both a restaurant and a butcher’s place. I have been here regularly for six months, every time all the employees were genuinely kind and friendly and i could always feel the bright and hearwarming vibe. As a restaurant, you can get the best burger in town with an affordable price. Although most restaurants in Zurich is overpriced and even the place is located in the centre of Zurich, every menu of Zum chalte Brunne is offered in an amazingly reasonable price. The wurst is also nice and you can buy the hamburger patty and wursts seperately. I strongly recommed to taste the wine, beer and other drinks here. Most drink is local from Zurich and It is very amazing to see such high end quality drinks are served in a restaurant, not a expensive bar. As a butchers palce, this is almost the only place where you can get ‘real’ meat throughout whole Zurich. All the items are organic and local, where you have a lot of variety of meat. The staffs are very knowledgeable about cuisine and meat, where I used to ask and easily get forigen cuts or rare pecies. I got exactly what i needed for korean cuisine, bourguignon, texas style barbeques and etc. Alongside from meat, you can buy wine, oils, cheese and pasta. I have tried them all where i was surpriesed that all the pasta and drinks were in an extraordinary high quality. Compared to other cheese places in Zurich, there was not much options however the Käse (cheese) such as pilgerscahf was vey nice. I post some pictures about the meats i have cooked from this place and the burger. Overal, this place is absolutely the holy grail of Zurich food and restaurant where you can get quality food of all kinds of sort.

  This restaurant has a good feel. They have a defined menu and two items seem to be most popular; their hamburgers and the brauts. I had the braut and it was tasty - it came with potato salad and a piece of bread.
