The food was nothing special, just basic I can say. Not bad, but not very tasty either. The staff very kind and cozy atmosphere. Nice decorated place.

We visited Trattoria Sempre on Christmas Day and appreciated that they were open, which was a big plus. The food itself was very good in terms of quality. We ordered two pasta dishes, a pizzetta, clams, and mozzarella (five dishes for two people). However, the tapas-style concept doesn’t really work for an Italian restaurant. When you go to an Italian place, you expect a proper plate of pasta or a full pizza, not small, “three bites” portions that cost about the same as a full-sized dish. The concept felt confusing and a bit disappointing. The atmosphere was nice, but the restaurant was extremely crowded and very loud, which took away from the experience. Unfortunately, the service was quite disappointing. Our server was rude and didn’t seem to have the patience to answer questions about the menu. Overall, I liked the food and really appreciated that they were open on Christmas Day, but between the concept, the noise level, and the service, the experience was just so-so.
