    I’ve wondered what it might be like to eat here because everything looks so good..both indoors & outside in the private courtyard. My husband & myself took the plunge & we’ve come away feeling a great deal is promised..but from a culinary perspective it seemed to fall short … My deep-fried artichoke had indeed been deepfried .. with its (trimmed) leaves still intact! Showered with finely grated pecorino cheese & sitting on its bed of subtle ‘cream’…it nonetheless was essentially for me …to a significant amount…inedible. The leaves that traditionally are discarded progressively as one moves toward the prize of the tender & exquisite heart…wasn’t possible here .. these leaves were fulsomely covered by the shredded pecorino melting into the fried structure of the whole artichoke..rendering the rescue of the heart virtually impossible..it became a mess attempting to reach the tender heart ..& one try of chewing the fried leaves’n’cheese confirmed they were not readily edible .. I found them INedible ! My husband’s daringly conceived Deepfried Tartare starter was superbly presented on a bed of finely-diced but disappointingly watery beetroot ..artfully encircled by a swirl of creamy something, the sum of which wasn’t quite made into the sublime whole I’d thought it was for sure going to be..I wanted it to be more cohesively developed than it actually was ..but it came close, by gum ! The mains similarly seemed not perfectly judged &…whilst pleasant enough, we were not satisfied we’d struck it rich gastronomically speaking. Chef seems to has not quite resolved how to complete what has been so cleverly designed. We enjoyed being in the lovely space, & the friendly, attentive & helpful service was certainly appreciated. Good wines by the glass were gratefully approved by us both. . If only the kitchen managed better outcomes overall I feel certain this delightful space could claim to be a place where modern Swiss cooking was expertly created & & delivered. Right now it’s not quite there yet. But Oerlikon needs desperately what the Acasa Restaurant promises…please someone make it all come true before the behemoth across the rail tracks crushes all hope ! A qualified recommendation only - at this stage .
