This place is fantastic. The ramen is delicious. I particularly like the Tantanmen. It's lively and busy. The service is good and people are friendly. They also have a very delicious IPA available. Which pairs nicely with the Tantanmen. There is some seating at the bar which is great because the tables are usually filled. It's delicious and inviting and homey highly recommended.

While the Atmosphere was nice enough and the staff was cordial, the food is easily the most important to me and ended up being quite the dissapointment. I had the Miso ramen and right away there were a few problems.
The ingredients besides the soup were cold and the noodles were too chewy and honestly didn't taste like the high quality that they're being advertised as. The chashu was close to flavourless and a bit mealy in texture which was surprising. The vegetables while among the staples of a typical miso soup weren't the nicest either.
The broth was the most dissapointing bit as there was no depth of flavour to the miso and it ended up tasting mostly of the sesame oil liberally poured on top. Also: the chopsticks were onetime use wooden ones with a rough finish. This might seem petty but was ultimately the dealbreaker for me since it affected the taste quite a bit and was baffling, since I have personally never seen it done this way in a ramen place in Japan or Europe.
While this review has been very negative, there are positives that shouldn't go unmentioned. The service was fast and I had neutral to positive interactions with the staff. While the ambience might not have appealed to me personally, the simple but clean style might be right up your alley.
The price was all things considered pretty good, especially when considering the quite nice, and definitely expensive, location.
It should also be mentioned that i cannot speak to the quality of other food items and that i have been told that the eating experience is satisfactory. Personally i am skeptical about this but if the ambience and the menu interests you, you should probably try it for yourself.
Despite my harsh words, i do hope that this place succeeds as it seems to be an overall heartfelt project. And judging from the (confusing) amount of positive reviews and the number of guests this place seems to fill a niche for Zurich.
