Just bad. Food portion was so small and when we told them they Didn’t care. Waste of money. Nobody eating there so it was quiet and really bad vibes! Won’t go back

We suppose we can’t blame anyone but ourselves for deciding to venture into an Asian Chinese restaurant on our first day in Zurich! 🤪 It was supposed to be our regular vegetarian day, and after checking into our hotel, we initially planned to walk to a nearby Mexican restaurant. However, we underestimated the chilly winter weather. Even the locals were bundled up in furry overcoats, gloves, and winter hats! 🤣 As we walked, we passed a restaurant that looked familiar and decided that perhaps a hot meal would be more appealing, especially if they had a comforting vegetarian soup. Standing hesitantly at the entrance, we noticed a steady stream of customers entering Long Huang Restaurant. Seeing so many people walking in gave us a false sense of confidence. We figured that with such a large crowd, it couldn’t be that bad, right? Excitedly, we ordered a selection of vegetarian-friendly dishes: fried rice, mapo tofu, stir-fried mixed vegetables, braised eggplants, and corn and egg soup. Unfortunately, everything fell short of our expectations. The eggplants and tofu, in particular, were major disappointments. It felt like this restaurant catered more to non-Chinese tastes rather than offering authentic flavors. It was telling that we were the only two Asian customers in the place. The one silver lining was our server, who spoke Mandarin. However, the restaurant lacked a tourist-friendly menu—only a single English-translated menu was posted outside to lure unsuspecting diners like us! 😂 Oh well, lesson learned: we definitely should have stuck with our original plan for Mexican tacos. In hindsight, we should have trusted our instincts. If you’re in Zurich, I’d suggest steering clear of Long Huang and perhaps sticking to your original dining plans! 🙈🙈🙈
