  Food was okay, though one of the fondues were absolutely not what we ordered. The service was again very unorganized. They put the fondues on the warmers and completely forgot to bring the breads and other stuff, also didn't bring some of the drinks. It took 20 minutes to get a drink after taking another 10-15 minutes to find a waiter. They also forgot 2 of the 3 lava cakes, so we all waited another 30 minutes for that last round to finish.

  🥐 Setting ECHO sits inside the Zurich Marriott and reflects the hotel’s polished, modern style. The dining room was spacious, well-lit with natural light, and carried a calm, professional atmosphere. It felt like a comfortable space for both hotel guests and business travelers starting the day. 🍳 Breakfast Selection I only stopped here for breakfast, but the experience was better than expected. The buffet offered a strong mix of traditional European and international breakfast items: - 🥖 Bakery: Fresh breads, croissants, and pastries — light, crisp, and clearly made with quality ingredients. - 🥚 Hot Dishes: Eggs, sausages, and other staples were cooked properly and kept warm without being overdone. - 🥗 Cold Items: Fruit, yogurt, cereals, and cheeses gave lighter, healthy choices. - ☕ Coffee & Drinks: Coffee was fresh and smooth, served promptly; juices were also available in a good variety. Everything felt well thought out, with good quality across the board — not just filler items. 🤝 Service The service matched the Marriott standard: - Staff were polite, attentive, and efficient. - Dishes were cleared quickly, coffee refilled without needing to ask. - They balanced attentiveness with giving guests space, which made the meal feel relaxed. 🎶 Ambiance The restaurant was busy during breakfast hours but never chaotic. The layout and spacing helped maintain a sense of order. Background noise was low, and the atmosphere leaned toward professional yet relaxed — equally good for starting a workday or enjoying a slower morning. 💭 Final Thoughts 👍 Pros: Wide and high-quality breakfast selection, fresh pastries, attentive staff, calm ambiance. 👎 Cons: Pricing is on the higher side if you’re not staying at the hotel, but this is expected in Zurich. ➡️ Bottom line: ECHO was an excellent breakfast stop. Clean setting, gourmet-level quality in key items like pastries and coffee, and professional service made it a great way to begin the day. Even as a frequent Marriott guest, I came away pleased and impressed.
