  Always a great place for a bigger groups - the food is excellent (anti-pasti, pasta, pizza, desserts), the staff is kind and very accomodating, the atmosphere relaxed and homey, and the prices are fair. The staff also has good recommendations regarding starters/desserts for group sharing - don't be shy to ask.

  I felt very mono-lingual at Da Michelangelo as most of the staff slipped efforlessly between Swiss German, Italian and English but in a joyful and friendly way. Our menu was swapped out for one in English too (can't imagine the reverse in London in a not particularly touristy part of the city). The service was warm and attentive and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Despite the fact that the staff seemed to know most of the clientele, we, as visitors were as warmly welcomed as the regulars. We went in quite early and were able to sit down straight away but things were starting to hot up by the time we left, so it's probably best to book if you want to dine a little later.
