  I always enjoy my visits here. It’s their smallest location, but the service is so much more personal. Iskander always knows that I order the same item from the menu (Kebab I’m Taschenbrot) and he makes sure my order is done correct every time. If not during the rush hour he will come over to my table to say hello and have some small talk. A really great guy. He was since relocated to the Oerlikon location, so this current location could be used to train newer staff. I know here really liked working at this location and hope he gets the chance to return. The new guys here at the Affolltern location have been so nice as well.

  I had a chance to check out the newly remodeled Ayverdi’s Affoltern after they closed for these renovations. There are many new changes to this upgraded location from the new high stools at the windows, a new order/pickup counter, and the seating color scheme switched from the old black and grey to the new black and brown which is the standard for the other locations. The staff was not overly friendly, but professional. The entire restaurant and restrooms were spotless. I normally order the standard kebab wrap, but on this visit I opted for the kebab im taschenbrot (13.50CHF), and retail packaged iced tea (5.50CHF). This location use to offer the cheapest kebab of their locations in the city, but now their basic kebab price has jumped about 2CHF. The price for the beverage is about standard for the city, but certainly still not worth this fee, so next time I would just stick with the food and pass on the beverage. The kebab bread was excellent. It seemed to be brioche style sweet bread, which I very much enjoyed but this may not be the liking to everyone. The taste and quality all came together well for the kebab. On future visits, I would certainly opt for the taschenbrot as to the wrap. The only issue of note would be there is still an air circulation issue, as for several hours after I departed Ayverdi's my clothes still reeked of the smell of the interior of the restaurant. I would have thought after the renovation the air ventilation system would have upgraded and maybe it was, but it is still insufficient as far as I am concerned. Otherwise, an excellent visit and I would visit again and highly recommend.
